Take this with a grain of salt for now, but the below shows what the Samsung S7 / S7 Edge / iPhone 6S / 6S + and the older iPhone 5S batter life should be.

I've been wondering how much (if any) of the Edge's bigger battery will result in longer battery life and how much is needed just to run the bigger screen and additional features.

This at least suggests that the S7 Edge is expected to last longer than the S7, even if perhaps not at those exact rates. That's important to me. Of the two, the reason I'd get the Edge is battery life (plus I do like the silver option)

Yeah I found the results to be very optimistic considering I have never had an android phone out last my iPhone 6s+. And I've tried quite a few android phones since trying an iphone for a year. As long as the edge is equivalent, ill be happy for sure. And if it outlasts my daily usage with the 6s+, ill be ecstatic.
