I recently used the xionia custom recovery to roll back to a previous version of my system files.

however this caused more problems, so i restored my LG Optimus S with a backup of the boot and system files i had backed up directly prior to the attempt to roll back to a previous backup.

This fixed my original problem, however i left my phone on my desk while i was out of the room(phone was locked, so nobody did anything to it) and when i came back it had rebooted itself and was on the android boot logo screen =(

i pulled the battery and tried to reboot it again, but it just went back to looping the android logo again.

I don't know what's wrong, it was working fine and had booted up successfully after i did anything major to it ...
so i'm not sure what could have happened -_-;;

here's a youtube video of my screen as it boots up

Pull battery. Put back in. Hold power, volume down, and home. Release when you see the LG screen. Then you will be in recovery. Flash the rom or backup of choice.

EDIT: Flash this: http://db.tt/SI1Vwx2 after wiping everything and before restoring or flashing. ;)

Are you overclocking to high?

sent from my CM7 gingerbread Optimus S

Always happy to help, hit that thanks button if I did

Okay since u cant tell if you are overclocking that means that you havent messed with the configuration of the CPU clock.... so go to the recovery and hit the advanced tab and then hit fix recovery boot loop and then if that doesnt work then go back to the recovery and click on "Mounts and Storage" and format the Boot, System, Data and cache then try flashing the Rom again and if the problem persist that means that the file is corrupt so download it back to the root of your sd card :)

In simple terms re-flash rom after a complete wipe

this happened to my sister phone, go to mounts and storage in your custom recovery and format system, data, cache, and boot, then install your rom
