proxy wifi, apps not connected

I have a Nexus4, not rooted, KitKat 4.4.2
i usually use data, but now im on wifi.
the wifi is configured with a proxy.
when i imput the proxy settings and all, my apps do not connect to internet, namely Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Dolphin Browser a a few others.
Twitter connects fine, as does Chrome and Gmail.
I am forced to use chrome for Facebook, which is annoying, as i dont get notifications from fb msgr.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try using Proxy Droid app and use the Global proxy connect to configure all the application to use the proxy you've provided. That should be definitely going to help you out, once you installed let me know i'll guide you in configuring the proxy.
