manually updating 3.1?

I just got this tab the other day so please excuse tge noob question, can someone please give some instructions on how to manually update to 3.1? I still havnt gotten the ota but really want to try it. I saw a link to manual update in the post on the main page but dont know how to do it. Thanx

Go to settings - about tablet - system update

Click check now

Your tablet may not be on the upgrade list yet. It looks like they're running either geographically or by serial number.

That's not what I meant, I've been doin that. There's a link in the post on the main page with the file to manually install the update, that's what I need help with
