Iconia Battery App Worth It?

Hi There! New to the forum and just got my A500. Does anyone have this app or do they know if it works? Not many reviews and the ones shown are not very helpful. Its labeled as the Acer Iconia Battery Saver in the Android Market.

its basic function is the same as a app killer, kill running processes to save battery life. but its junk, you dont need it and actually ends up killing your battery more than saving it.

Dont need no batt apps. A500 will last all day ive even watched a couple movies and still has 50‰..

The easiest way to increase battery life is to decrease your screen brightness. Also if you are watching a movie or doing other tasks that don't involve WiFi, turn the WiFi off.
I get about 6 1/2 hours of use time between charges. And that is watching videos, and doing some web surfing.

And for those 501 owners, turn off or decrease the frequency of your notifications and synchs.

Of course, you could always come to the dark side, and root, rom,,, increased battery life to well over half a day....
