    Default questionable wi-fi signal.......

I have a Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router installed in my kitchen cabinet not very far from my bedroom where I using my tablet signal is not as strong as on my laptob should I get a new different or better router to inprove the signal? If I'm closer to router signal is better with my laptop I don't need to be next to it to get strong signal

    Thanks for the help!

Wrong quote!!! Anyhow I would think that as long as you get any signal you should be fine, mine is at the back of the house and I get 3 bars in the front yard (75-80 yards) from the AT&T Modem. 36mbps

you can try and get a repeater that will transfer the signal into the other rooms and keep it the same. also some modems/routers are known issues with them in cabinets and near everyday kitchen things suchs as frig,microwave,ect..
