    Default wifi issues

I have an Acer a500 on ics .. ever since I had this tablet, the wifi only works at regular speed for about 10 minutes.. after that period, it slows down dramatically .. like 200kb per second.. I always have turn off the wifi for about a minute. And restart it.. anybody. Know what it could be?

No clue, but mine does this as well especially when watching you tube videos. For the first 5 or 6 videos it plays flawlessly without buffering but soon after, every video I play, buffers like crazy making you tube useless until I stop/restart wifi. Annoying.

The only work around I found was to set QoS (quality of service) for my router for streaming. It helps a little but nothing inherently mind blowing.

I have the same issue with YouTube but not netflix. Weird. Maybe its just YouTube.

Your A500 has ICS? I'm assuming it's rooted and running an ICS ROM, then. So maybe the custom ROM is causing the slowdown? Unless this was a problem before you installed the ROM, that is.

I'm not using a ROM. Did the manual update. And it was doing it before the update. Yes, if you read the ics thread, there is a stable manual update without rooting. And Gator, that's exactly what mine does!

I dunno man, a leaked manual ICS update that doesn't require root is still unofficial, and could therefore still be causing the slowdown. I would wait until the official OTA update, then see if the problem persists.

It did it before the update

Oh, sorry--you hadn't mentioned that in your original post.
