The Verge has posted a review of the 7" Fire HD. Looks like a nice device if you just want to watch movies, play games, read books, etc.

Love it but I'm mainly a content tablet person. This is great for me since I don't do much but read books (especially with Immersion reading, NICE!), watch movies, watch podcasts and read the news through Flipboard. I guess also the Nexus 7 rubbed me the wrong way with cheap/faulty screen quality. At the 3rd Nexus 7 I just stopped returning it and will deal with the washed out colors/horrible touch response and just wait it out for the Fire HD.

You just got an n7 lemon. I have a c60 since day one and its perfect.

I am new to this Forum and the Kindle Fire HD (7 inch), I have had it for about 2 weeks now, and for the most part am happy with it, it does everything I have wanted it to do without too many problems, I am however havong issues with my email, but between my desktop and phone, this is not a game breaker. I really like the external speakers, sounds pretty good for such a small device, as I am an android phone person, the OS works for me, I like the layout of the screen and so far have played with it enough to give it a 8.5 out of 10, I think for the price you can't beat it, the resolution is good you have enough space to download lots of music, movies, and books.
So have fun it's a pretty cool little device.
