What is the system version? I don't see anything about a new update for the KF posted anywhere online.

I see some info on it now...I guess it's going down. My KF is rooted and WIFI is off so for now I think I'll pass on the update. I'm sure it will un root it if I do.

I think it was to fix some problems with the wi fi connections. Not sure though.

I can confirm this. Only thing I've noticed so far.

One thing that I noticed after I got the 6.2.2 update, was that using the browser, there was a button in the bottom right corner enabling "full screen".

To manually update, here's the link to the .bin file, direct from Amazon. After downloading, use a file utility to move it to the Kindle Update folder. Go into the Menu>More>Device and punch the Update My Kindle button. Done!

Same here. My KF was sitting on the table beside me last night around 9:30. It suddenly went to a command line looking screen, installed the update, and rebooted. I have a few programs that need root (such as a vnc client) so ... off to redo it.

I haven't roooted since I lost my initial root to 6.2.1 so I'm done with this rerooting crap.
