Just curious if anyone has tried the Crackle App for Movies & TV on their rooted kindle?

Also, is there anyone who has a rooted kindle without an Android phone? I'm trying to figure out if you can still download from the Android Market. Right now my accout says no Android phone detected so I'm not able to download. I haven't rooted yet because of this.

Not rooted, but I sideloaded Crackle last night and watched about 10 minutes of a movie with no issues whatsoever.

I would love to sideload, but I can't since I don't have an Android phone. Unless there is some other way I haven't learned yet.... (that's downloaded from the Android Market)

Try searching for your app name plus apk in google

That will usually lead you to a download.

Crackle runs OK on my stock Kindle Fire, its main issue being slightly out-of-sync video and audio. It's also more susceptible to network hiccups, which leads me to believe it doesn't buffer as effectively as it would on a phone, which is what the app is intended for. Of the four means of watching streaming video on my Fire, the others being Hulu+, Netflix and the built-in Videos app, I'd rank this one 3 out of 4. The built-in app is the best, followed by Netflix, with Hulu+ bringing up the rear. I can be right next to my router with full-on Wi-Fi bars and the b*stard still stops for buffering way too often.

I've downloaded the Crackle App and it opens. But when I wanna watch something, it says I need the latest Flash.
Then, I download Flash and it says 'cannot open file'.
So.........what's to do?
