so i have had a kindle fire for awhile now and i'm debating on whether to root it and put a MIUI rom on it. but my question is about the apps i've gotten from amazon, would those transfer over to the new rom? noob question i know.

I don't think so but you can still get them. Once you have completed rooting and flashing the new rom go to Amazon and download the Amazon for Android app store. After you install and run that app you will be able to download all your old kindle fire apps.

If you purchased the "Kindle Fire Edition" of the apps you will not be able to download them because amazon doesn't recognize the new rom as a kindle fire.

I have loaded CM7 on my kindle fire and I purchased like 4 gameloft games that are Kindle Fire Editions and I can't see or download them from the amazon appstore. I tried installing it from the apk but all the gameloft games didn't work. EA games on the otherhand did worth with that method.

if you back them up with titanium backup and restore them after you flash the new ROM they should work when you download the amazon appstore from the market
