    Default Bricked Kindle

My rooted Kindle Fire is stuck in the boot screen. My computer no longer recognizes it and same for Kindle Fire Utility. I reset the drivers and the kindle shows up as an "F" drive but I'm not able to access it. I was hoping to side load 6.3.1 back onto the sd card. I am still able to access TWRP.

    Any suggestions?

In a similar situation, a factory data reset cable worked on my bricked fire. It is the usb cable with pin 4 connected to +5v. Pin 4 is usually not connected on these cables. You can make one if you are skillful with an xacto knife and soldering iron. Do a search on line, I found instructions there... or you can by a stock Motorola factory cable with 5v on pin 4 from Amazon. Probably a good thing to have around.

Here is a link to the info on making the cable

Before worrying about the cable, you might try using the unbrick utility first. It might work in your case. Link at bottom of post.

If you can wait, I would buy the cable. It is really hairy soldering to those tiny pins and working with the fine wire.

You will also need to use the unbrick utility after using the cable. The utility didn't work until after connecting the factory cable. What I found was nothing changed until I removed the factory cable and reconnected the stock cable. At that point, the unbrick utility worked and the kindle recovered completely.
