look for wpa_supplicant.conf in /data/misc/wifi. delete all entries except the first two.
they should be:

ctrl_interface=tiwlan0
update_config=1

Some of the builds have ctrl_interface=wlan0 which screws up the wi-fi

if you have ctrl_interface=tiwlan0 in wpa_supplicant.conf google wpa_supplicant.conf and manually add in your access point parameters to connect.

(suggest making backup of wpa_supplicant.conf in case this makes problems worse. You many have to reboot device for changes to take affect.

I just installed Unofficial AOKP Jellybean Milestone 1. It's badass! My stepson didn't want his anymore so I'm playing with it :) This will keep me occupied for awhile! No idea there was so much development going on with it!
