Rooted... How do I unroot?
I have one of the early Fires, and proceeded to root it. Now I have forgotten about the process, except I remember temporarily bricking it. Was able to recover by building a "factory" cable with 5v on pin 4. So it is rooted but otherwise stock except for enabling the play store and loading a bunch of android apps. I have decided I would rather have the stock Kindle configuration back for reading and ease of downloading ebooks, so a few questions:
Should I remove the android apps, or will I be able to use them after going back to original?
I assume I did the usual backups when I rooted. Will it be as simple as restoring the backup, or will there be files I will have to reload?
Is this going to turn into a big hassle or would I be better off just leaving it alone?
If anyone can post step by step directions, I would greatly appreciate it.
