New Update?

So my KF randomly updated tonight; the version number didn't change. I checked the Amazon website and didn't see any info on a new update available.

Interesting, I was extremely disappointed when the new tablets came out and the old ones did not get a software update. If anyone finds out what they changed I'd like to know.

Update here too. 6.3.1 Not sure if it's new or not, but that's what the version is. Anyone else??

6.3.1 would be the version that came out quite some time ago... Unless they "updated" without bumping the number. I have not seen an update yet...

Yep. I got a random update yesterday morning. The WiFi was OFF when I fingered the power button. The Kindle Fire immediately did an update. I keep the Allow From unknown sources ON and haven't ever rooted to a laptop/PC. Maybe because it will be a year old soon?

Amazon is pushing out an update of the firmware, leaving it titled 6.3.1 for some reason. I looked it up on amazon, but couldn't find anything there to support it. I saw a post over at XDA that said that is doing a minor update and sending it out over a two week period. Maybe by Christmas we will know the full specs on this update. If I can find the post, I will add it here.
