Short Question: Does Android support 802.11b or 802.11g?
Medium Additional Information: I have an old Microsoft MN-700 wireless router that uses only 802.11b or 802.11g and won?t allow any Android device to connect, even my new phone (AT&T Fusion 2/Huawei U8665 running Android 2.3.6 which cannot be updated). All iOS devices are fine. My internet research seems to say Android doesn?t support it.
Even More Information: I?ve tried the following: security on/off; static IP; different channels; enable SSID Broadcast; power cycle; phone reset; phone provider support line; internet provider support line (okay, actually, they say they will fix it for $79 or my money back, so I?m trying you guys first).

Welcome to Android Central! It should be supported--you can see it on the spec sheet: Huawei Fusion 2 U8665 - Full phone specifications

Routers can sometimes be very finicky, especially an old one. I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I'd suggest just getting a new wireless N router--you can find decent ones for $20 these days.
