Update 2.3.4 to 4.0.3

Hi,
I've got a "General Mobile" branded (a local brand) 2.3.4 version tablet, so I want to update it to Jelly Bean, but tablet's own upgrader isn't working properly, is there another way to figure this out and update my Android to Jelly Bean? (it's rooted)

If it says it's up to date then the manufacturer is holding up the update. If so you can flash a ROM such as Cyanogenmod to get the latest version of Android.
