With CM7, is Gingerbread for the Nexus One still a big deal?

I used to be so excited for gingerbread on my Nexus One, but now with Cyanogenmod 7 being quite stable, I am no where near as excited about Gingerbread on my Nexus. CM7 has so many more features and is just awesome. Anybody else feeling the same? Or are you still patiently waiting the long anticipated Gingerbread OTA?

I have to say that I don't really care about the OTA anymore. I flashed Cyanogenmod 7 RC 1 when it was released and love it so far. There's so many little things and options that are included in this ROM that the OTA won't have. I'm also really thrilled to have wifi calling at home, since my reception was kind of iffy sometimes.

Since I've never considered "rooting" then updates are very important to me. I've been anticipating the launch of "Gingerbread".
