Productivity Software?
Well honeycomb is supposed to be fully optimized for tablet use. I personally plan to jump on board with a tab as soon as I can, probably the Xoom if nothing more intriguing shows up (for instance, an HTC tablet). Anyway, the biggest reason I want a tablet is to take to class for notes.
I plan to get a keyboard attachment, assuming one is released. But I am just wondering if there has been talk of efficient productivity software for such tasks? I want to be able to have a full function word processor so I can take legitimate notes, and have them all in one nice, android powered place. If there is a lack of software to make the tablet more than a big.android phone that doesn't make calls (see Galaxy tab), it will be hard to justify buying one. - 01-13-2011, 08:14 PM #2
Give skype some time. You will be able to make calls on the galaxy tab. There are keyboards that work w/ the tab. As for productivity suite. I haven't looked at one but you know there will some out soon. Don't knock the galaxy tab until you try it. I have it and it rocks.

Don't get me wrong, I have played with a Galaxy tab, and I think it is super sexy. I just meant I can't justify buying one because it doesn't really do too much that my Incredible can't. If I am going to invest in a tablet, I want it to be something separate from my phone, and enough to warrant not buying something like a netbook.

as for productivity software.. you can always use google docs.. also there are some apps in the market like documents to go
i know what you mean when you say u want something that can do more than your phone.. i guess a tablet is the solution since honeycomb will bring apps tailored for a bigger screen - 01-21-2011, 07:51 PM #5
