Default Why does tablet/phone screen turn on when plugged in?

This is obnoxious as I have a high screen timeout and then have to press the screen off button every time after plugging it in. Is there any way to turn this off? Not sure why I would want the screen turned on when it was off and I plug it in.

I believe the LED light on the phone indicates that it is charging when you plug it in. I have a Samsung Epic 4G touch and Asus Transformer.

Not all device have LED. It could be annoying but the other way is true too when you plugged in for charging and realized it didn't charge after 3 hrs.

I guess if the charger is plugged into the wall on one end and the phone on the other, I assume it is charging...

It is poor design. They could just turn the screen for 10 seconds or something.

Ok. now you finally said something worth while. It is supposed to turn on for only a few seconds then turn off. If its staying on then that's just a setting. It may be a simple charging or screen time-out setting that makes it want to stay on when charging.

Or maybe for some reason it thinks its docked and thus staying on as a display.

Its likely something super simple that you've overlooked.

I asked a reasonable question. Your response is I "finally said something worth while". Your answer was it is "likely something super simple" which is worthless. There aren't that many settings and I know them all. I have had like 7 Android devices. It is best you not respond with silly comments if you can't add anything.
