Am having huge issues with Web browsers crashing on my Acer A200.

This was not an issue when the device was new (8 months ago) but has progressively got worse.
At first I attributed the decline to evolution of Dolphin (I see lots of complaints about Dolphin for this).

I reverted to stock browser but that was a similar crash - fest.

Tried numerous others and now continuing with Maxthon, which is mostly ok but frequent freezes and occasional crashes.

Is this hardware, ICS, an app, a virus?????

I am running two anti - virus : stock McAfee bloatware and Avast.

Dont run two anti virus at once they interferre wit eachother i believe or cause problems when you do that
