It's still good, but it is certainly missing a number of features and APIs that the later versions have. If there was a phone that I knew wouldn't get upgraded past ICS, I'd personally pass on it, but for a lot of normal consumers it would probably work just fine for them.

Kinda does depend on your point of view. By itself it is a good OS. I don;t htink I would want to go back to it, but say someone who is stuck on Gingerbread would love to see it.

Well am looking at a budget Samsung galaxy phone called S Duos which has ICS with touchwiz nature ux and will not be ugraded to JB most likely. There are jellybean based handset like galaxy young and fame but both have smaller and lower res screens so i guess its better to have bigger 4" inch wvga display with ICS rather than 3.5" hvga display with JB? Other specs are the same.
