Android email has died
I have a cheap Chinese tablet running ICS which I use when I'm on holiday. The built-in email client won't run. The "loading" screen appears for about 2 seconds, then it goes back to the desktop. If I then look in running applications I get a black screen. I've tried rebooting, resetting and a cold reboot.
It's not a problem since I've now installed Aquamail which does the job adequately. My concern is that the built-in app will come back to life one day and try to download mail. I can't open the app to delete my mail accounts.
My questions: Is there any way I can reload the built-in app?
If I go to settings > apps and delete all the data for this app, will that remove my email accounts from it?
If I go to settings > apps and disable the app, will this have any other consequences?
