Google Now slow on Nexus S???

I have JB on my Nexus S. I realize it's older hardware and probably JB is reaching the limits of taxing it....... but sometimes it takes forever to get to Google Now when I hit the search button.

Or if I'm trying to use the microphone, it takes forever for the screen to show up, sometimes "beeping" that it's ready a good 5 seconds before the display shows it.


Yet other times Google Now seems fairly snappy in responding?????


Anyone else with an S having similar issues?

Yes, I have nexus S and google now takes about 3-4 sec to open and its because of the old hardware. Sometime its quick because its running in the background after your first opened it.

Opening google now first time is slow but after that its snappier.
