China Star S7180 no mass storage??

Recently I got a phone from China, it's name is the Star s7180 or n7100+. It worked perfectly out of the box and everything was fine, even the mass storage worked. I tried rooting as most people do try on their new device and I could not find anyway to do it. All of a sudden my USB mass storage would no nothing at all. I have tried connecting it to a Mac, windows 7,8 and XP computers but to no help at all:'( I have tried all the normal stuff like get a new USB cable and tried taking out the battery for 30 mins and then trying again. I have even formatted the whole thing and it still refuses. Also there are no usb setting on the phone of ANY sort. (Apart from USB debugging which does nothing....) Thank you for your help!
