If you are logged into your device with your Google account, you should be able to sync all your data if it was saved properly to the account. Go into your phone book and under the "view" settings, make sure it is showing your Google contacts.

What data are you referring too? If you didn't backup text messages, call logs, app data (must be rooted to do this), etc., then you can't restore. Anything sync'd with Google (contacts, gmail, etc.) is automatically sync'd to the cloud and back to the device when reconnected.

If you need to know which apps were previously installed on the device (data will not be included), log into your google play store account and see which apps were previously installed and re-install back to the device.

Hopefully this clarified some of your question.
