Htc evo 4g lte ringer issues

I have a rooted evo lte running dirty racuun s-off and i have to keep formatting my ROM using TWRP to correct my issue. The problem I can't shake is I lose sound. When pushing up or down on the ringer to change volume, sometimes it isn't functional :-\ and I can't hear anything involving any sound. It's been like this for the longest and I am fed up with Sprints garbage service anyways as Im paying $10 for a 4G device and haven't had promised 4G for 3 years now. Please help me with this issue. I have tried many ROMS and still the issue with the sound doesn't function properly. I hard reset, soft reset. The sound does not work and it's not a speaker issue because after so many resets, the sound will come back. But let's say if I need to set an alarm for 10 hours later, it will just vibrate and the sound just doesn't work properly. Gah!!
