just got an n7k, got questions
Alright, so I just got a Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000, and I've flashed it with CyanogenMod 10.1.3 stable, bringing it to 4.2.2. So far, it's completely vanilla CM.
I'm not exactly newb in Android news, but I'm certainly newb in Android tech, just got mine after all. I've Googled for these questions but can't find satisfactory answer
So, here are the questions:
1) How do I set my wallpaper in full-portrait mode?
It looks like an executive in Google accepted a "how far you can **** Android users and get away with it" dare and forced everyone to use ridiculous wallpaper system. I have an image that perfectly fits in portrait mode, and I want to use just that. In portrait mode. No bells and whistles. But I can't use it as is, I have to crop it and only see half of it in digital-zoom-pixelation mode.
While I can think of a few workarounds that includes a lot of work in my part due to the misleading name of "common sense" that I thought Google has, is there a way that doesn't include installing 3rd party apps to achieve it?
2) How do I use bluetooth tethering?
I have an Android, I have a BlackBerry Z10. I paired both with Bluetooth and activated the Bluetooth tethering on my Android (it has Internet connection via Mobile Network). File transfer between the two is fine, but there is no Internet activity on my Z10. I'm sure that I did something wrong to botch such a simple procedure. The question is: what's the right procedure?
3) Android not detected in Windows, what to do?
Well, not really "not detected" per se.
When I was flashing my device, Cyanogen wiki suggests me to use Heimdall to do it, which involves replacing the driver. Heimdall works, but now my device no longer has drive letter on Windows. Haven't tried on Mac yet, I don't have Mac around to test. The device itself is listed under Safely Remove Hardware as GT-N7000, it simply doesn't have a drive letter and is not visible in Windows Explorer.
I think it's a problem with the driver. What I want to know is what should I do to deal with this. I backed up the previous OS and it's sitting in the internal drive waiting for me to take it out
