Analyze this 10GB storage space of apps with a tool like DiskUsage.
Look at apps which need big space for their data.
Look at the settings of such app for the option to move their data to external SD card.

But maybe you've simply to many apps installed ;)

Sell the note 2 and get a note 3. Verizon is forced to carry the 32gb Note 3 because Samsung wisely cancelled the 16gb.

Delete large games. Normal apps won't take up that much space unless you have like a hundred installed. Delete games you don't play. Problem solved.

Also get an SD card and tell your phone and browser to save camera stuff and downloads to the external card. A 16 GB Samsung super class 10 card is $20 or less these days. 8GB class 6 can be had for less than $10, and is probably enough from what I see.

Though I cannot see if you have one installed. I'm assuming not.

If you use Google Play apps, the music, magazines, books, et cetera they cache can add up quickly, too. You can clear them from inside those apps or your device settings.

When you get an "insufficient storage" message, clearing your apps cache will likely solve the issue.
Go into settings->apps and check apps individualy, or search for a good cache cleaner in the playstore.
