unknown download when visiting websites
When using chrome beta, when I visit some sites, android authority for example, a download starts and is shown as a notification. It has the title of download (7) download (6) etc and I'm unable to open it. This started happening yesterday anyone else experience?

Re: unknown download when visiting websites
Not specifically with Chrome Beta but in the past I have had occasional downloads automatically start for no reason from some websites.
These have been small .apk (app) files of a few hundred kilobytes and I had no intention of ticking “Unknown sources” in the security settings to install and find out what they were, They could just be innocuous spam apps, for example, or again they could be something more sinister,.and like myself I would just delete them straight away.Putting out fire with gasoline
