I recently rooted my android jellybean 4.2, and installed xposed framework and gravity box module. However, I can no longer use my hostel WiFi on my phone, which requires me to manually configure proxy and IP address. The phone connects to the public WiFi, but despite correct proxy and IP settings, does not receive or send data. My private network, which automatically recieves proxy and IP settings, works fine. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this problem? I will be happy to provide additional details if required.
P.S: I have disabled the stock browser using titanium backup, but no other process that could interfere with WiFi.
