Issues with sound on nexus 4

I have a nexus 4 and am experiencing intermittent issue with this sound after upgrading. I am now on 4.4.2 and am still facing the same issue. The speaker does down on me randomly. I have tried resetting the phone but to no joy. Please help.

Try turning off the phone and clearing the speaker with a can of air.

I have to restart my phone every time the sound dies down. After rebooting it works for sometime. So I guess cleaning the speaker would not help. I will give it a try though..

Yes, if that doesn't help, maybe it's some sort of software conflict.
