Default Sticky/stuck touch on Samsung Galaxy quattro/win GT-I8552

    Hello All,

Problem => The touch on this phone is sticky. (I mean once I touch any icon, the touch remains sticky and soon it pops up the alt. menu (equivalent to tap & hold)). And not only this, the touch stays there - doesn't goes anywhere until I tap the point again.

Did anybody face similar issue? Please help:-
    I have Samsung Galaxy GT-I8552 quattro/win
    OS official 4.1.2.
    Baseband I8552XXAMDB
    Kernel 3.4.0-1163727 dpi@DELL132#1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Apr 24 17:05:42 KST 2013
    Build: JZ054K.I8552XXAMDB

Initially I thought its OS feature which I should disable. I tried increasing the Tap & hold delay - didn't work. I rooted the set to clean out the bloatware gift from Samsung. Once I enabled "Show touches" then I understood that most of the times, once we touch the screen, the touch just stays there until we tap it again.

Is this a hardware issue, or can be fixed somehow at software side? Please help.

    Welcome to the forums.
I woudl try to reboot into recovery and clear cache. See if that helps. Try this method: [Guide] Rebooting into Recovery Mode for the Galaxy S2, S3, and Tab2.
    Follow the S3 version.
I am not sure if this method will work. I tried finding how to reboot into recovery on the net and came up with nothing.

Another option would be to try a factory reset, but I would do this after the attempted cache clear.

I tried clearing cache and everything. In-fact I just reflashed one of stock room using Odin recently. I thought maybe it is the issue with my current ROM. It didn't help. Does that mean this is hardware issue ???? Coz nobody else is having such issue anywhere..... I've just thrown all bills & all long back when I was coming over

If you are still having issues, yes it probably is hardware.

Sent from my Nexus 5 using AC Forums mobile app
