Galaxy S3 Battery
Right, so this is driving me crazy lately. I've posted on xda developers forum and was told to use Better Battery Stats to check for wakelocks, which was already done with another program. I have done quite a bit to check my battery.
I've been running on ParanoidKangDroid quite happily for about a year or so now before I've started questioning battery life. It was brand new when purchased.
It used to run what I'd consider fairly well, not having a 'real' smartphone before. Compared to my friend's Note 2 that lasted a lot longer, I just chalked up to battery size.
Lately I have noticed that it is ridiculously short. Once I started looking into it I have been seeing people with 15h life and 3-5h screen time. That's insane, at minimum brightness I usually get 1h to 1.5h screen time max over 6-8 hours.
I've checked wakelocks, I've checked for physical battery deformation/bloat. I wiped and then installed S3rx 4.3 Touchwiz based ROM cleanly, and I've now switched to Pac-Man AIO. I've used battery calibration, I have monitored with pretty much nothing installed, I don't game on it. Wifi GPS BT radios all off. I don't let it run dry, I top it up frequently in order to not **** the Li-ion battery out of capacity. I've checked threads out for ideas and tips to no avail.
I realise that my mobile signal isn't the best in some cases, but battery life remains same with similar usage at home or anywhere with consistent full reception. I'm just stumped. I don't want to move to a general non-NFC battery with lesser consumption!
Here are three sets of photos, all from fully charged state, one from S3rx and two from Pac-Man AIO:
(Sorry I've uploaded in an order, but the attachment system messed it a bit.)
