hi ive acquired a Samsung galaxy s3 cdma version,didnt know the carrier cause wasn't on the startup screen or back of the phone,after a trip to 3 or 4 stores and nobody seemed to determine the carrier,1 person said maybe alltel,its a s3 sch-r530x,how can I tell or flash it for straightalk? ive also got another s3 that's at&t,could the esn be cloned to the other?

It looks like the model is for Alltel. You'll have to contact Straightalk to see if they'll be able to activate the phone on their network. However, if it's a device with a bad ESN then it likely won't be able to.

You can go to Straight Talk Compatibility Test and see if it can be used on Straight Talk. (The IMEI is the Dec: number on the label under the battery, or dial *#06# on the phone to see it.) It's 3G only, at best, depending on the carrier. It might be EDGE data on Verizon. (Straight Talk uses Sprint and Verizon for CDMA carriers, and I don't think Sprint allows you to bring your own device.)
