Android 4.1 actually sounds like an update while iOS 6 is just jailbreak features going into the OS.

So why is it that some widgets, like photo reel or youtube cannot be resized?

Support of resizing need to be coded to widget and it's disabled by default even thru views you used ready to resize, but in some cases if widget use heavly customized views which are less flexable they need to redesigned to support bigger sizes... google simply didn't implement them for those widgets

not until the manufacturer release the Jb update or some developer port the Jb rom for your device.
Since these tablets are unpopular the chances are NO. That's one reason why i love Nexus 7 because you get the latest software the first and they have plenty of developer support. - 10-08-2012, 03:57 AM #13

Can't wait for 4.2! Much prefer small upgrades to big jumps forward that involve changing around where stuff is and how it works.
