Hello Everyone! I have an HTC One (Black 32GB) rooted 4.4.2 sense 5.5 (not AT&T rom), Rooted with TWRP. I need help for my backups. I have HTC sync which when I use it does save my texts and such, but I want my app settings saved, for example I use Handcent for texting and I have many contacts customized. When I updated to Kitkat I lost all my app setting even though the data was there the settings were not!

Being Rooted, how can I backup my phone and app settings?

I have Titanium but when I use it, it blows my backgrounds away and doesn't leave my phone the way it is when I backup. I can't stand that, why does it change my phone settings? Anyway, what can I use to back up my phone/app settings? Prefer Free.

Welcome to the forums.
Since you are rooted, you have a custom recovery installed, correct? Like ClockworkMod, or TWRP?

Thank you. I am rooted with TWRP. I know you can use TWRP, never have done it...I was curious about a backup without having to boot into recovery.

A nandroid would actually be the bes way to do it though.

What nandroid app? I'm not very familiar with nandroid backups

Like Golfdriver said, it makes a complete image backup of your system.
To do it, just boot into TWRP, and select the "Backup" option. Select all the boxes shown, and swipe to backup. Shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes

Can I do that to an external drive? I just did it but didn't see an option.

What is compression and M5K was it?

It should say "storage location" and will have the options listed there. I only remember seeing internal storage and external SD
