Samsung Galaxy S4 Being Sluggish

I upgraded my firmware to 4.4.2 kitkat and now my GS4 seems to run abit sluggish. I get some delay when entering and exiting apps and also some delay when you hold the home button to open the task manager. Also when I type sometimes what I type takes awhile to come up and also takes some time for the phone to react to the buttons I press. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue or is this an issue with the new update. I have the Rogers version of the Gs4. Also if I have to end up restoring my phone can someone please direct me to a software because I used Samsung Kies in the past and found that when you restore your apps back to your phone. Samsung Kies does not restore your save data for the apps. Can someone please help me with this issue. Thanks very appreciate it.

Best backing up stuff best you can and wipe the phone. If you want to keep all your app and game data then try using carbon. Its on the Google play store which you will need on your desktop as well
