Samsung galaxy s4 4.4.2 problem

Since updating to 4.4.2 I can't shut off some app notifications, mainly games like farm frenzy and tapped out.
I shut them off like normal, through the games settings then close the settings then shortly later I start getting the notifications again.
They seem to be turning themselves back on.
Any way to stop this?

When I owned the S4 I encountered a laundry list of issues. All of the problems happened when the 4.4.2 update: reduced battery life, lag, and it got hot among other things. I didn't have your specific issue, but 4.4.2 was an absolute nightmare.

So far I've only seen the battery life and the issue I posted about, must be on a phone by phone basis.
