Authentication problem after 10 minutes of using WiFi

For some weird reason, my SmarTV (Android 4.4.2) keeps disconnecting from the WiFi and then it cannot reconnect again due to "authentication problem". The only "solution" is to restart the TV (takes 2 minutes) or forget the network and re-add it, both are a total pain.

What could be the reason for this? Signal strength is good, and no other phones have such a problem here (at least 5 more Android devices use the WiFi perfectly).

I'd start by changing the wi-fi channel on the router, in case the one you're on right now is really congested. You can use Wi-fi Analyzer to see what the traffic is like around you.
