High system RAM usage

My system RAM usage is around 0.8 to 1 GB on my 2013 nexus 7 since upgrading to lollipop. Also using Nova launcher. Any ideas?

It is designed to use what it needs, no more, no less. The device has 2 gigs of RAM so there shouldn't be any problems. RAM is not something to keep in reserve for a rainy day - it's there to be used.

I have noticed the same since I updated my LG G3 to Lollipop, I think its due to a memory leak in 5.0 and 5.0.1. Should be an update to fix soon

There's definitely a leak; I have to reboot my Nexus 4 every couple weeks because of it.
