It seems that the lolipop update first forces you to agree to Location Consent each time you turn on your location services (which is annoying enough, and if anyone knows how stop it, please let me know). After you agree it automatically switches you to High Accuracy mode. If you try and use GPS Only, the phone refuses to find your location. If you click the pinpoint button in maps, it prompts you to turn on high accuracy mode, and if you refuse, it doesn't locate your phone.
I don't want to turn on high accuracy mode. I'm not a fan of letting google collect wifi data, and I don't want to have the additional battery drain just so they can find more APs. Is there any way to make GPS Only work? And can it be done without being prompted every damn time?
Would rather not root.
