Issue with Google + and other Apps after 5.0

I recently upgraded to lollipop on my Verizon Samsung note 3 and almost immediately I started to have issues with certain apps. First, g+ stopped working and then Pandora. I knew that 5.0 had issues but I thought that they were worked out as that the reason Verizon gave for the long delay in getting the release. I am really surprised that Google apps would affect be by their very own upgrade.

Are there any solutions are patches or do we have to wait until 5.0.1?

I avoid upgrading, Verizon did a fresh install for me once (in a different situation), requires you to re-install the apps but you'll find more stability in my certainly amateur opinion.

Clear cache in recovery. If that doesn't work, factory reset
