Can't get native print support to work, but can with print app. Help!

I can't get my HP P1006 Laserjet to print natively from my S5. It will download the driver, shows up as an available printer, but when you select it to print it says "This printer is not available." When I download an app like Printshare or Printhand, I can select the printer and print. Whats going on? The printer is hooked-up to an AirportExpress.
