My Galaxy Tab 12.2 update yesterday, why can I no longer select individual emails for deletion?

Galaxy tab 12.2 update yesterday

Lots of things changed. I can no longer individually select emails for deletion. There was a circle on my home screen with 3 smaller circles in it. Anyone know what that is?
