Keeping the Drop down Clean

My drop down, "notification" menu has several apps open that say connected or available. How do I remove them without closing them.

Either check in the app's settings itself or on your phone go to Settings > Apps and select the app that has a notification in the tray and un-select the box that says 'show notifications.'

I want regular notifications though. Will that disable all the notifications or just the one that's as the app is open.

Going through Settings > Apps will.

Have you checked the app settings? Sometimes there will be a setting to always have a notification in the tray. See if it has that or not.

I realized how broken my English was there.

What I want is the "Skype avaliable" bar in the drop down notifications bar gone. But I still want Skype messages to come through. Bbm does the same but I've tried there so I can quickly open bbm.
