Battery Improved

I have a Nexus 5. It's the first phone I had much experience with. I am very hard of hearing so I don't talk on the phone and I don't play games on the phone. I text fairly often, have some apps I use such as dictionaries, Kindle, and currency rates. I listen to music when I walk my dog each morning and evening.

I have noticed, just in the last few days, a dramatic improvement in my battery. At a time when my battery would usually show 85% I'm showing 90%. I've been ending the day with over 75%.

I had a problem last week with my messages not being sent and I believe that was related to an update with "Hangout". I'm guessing that maybe another update has reduced my battery consumption.

Or, I'm imagining things.

Any opinions?

Google Services are wildly inconsistent on battery consumption. There are days I'll hardly lose anything while idle, and they won't show up in my battery used list. Other days they're at the very top and my phone needs a charge before I go to bed. Probably just one of those good days for you
