AC Question
how does the lollipop's "kill switch" feature work?
Since Lollipop, Google has introduced a "kill switch" feature similar to Apple's activation lock.
I'm just wondering how does this work since there are various ways to bypass the OS.
In my experience with Samsung/Xperia phones, I can just install the latest ROM via odin/flashboot after putting the phone into fastboot/download mode. And when I boot into the phone after flashing a stock ROM, I was never asked to login using the last gmail account used.
Thank you very much for the reply.
