I own a samsung phone running android L. Having apps that occupy bigger space like Facebook, I have atleast 1.8 GB remaining internal memory. So i bought a 4gb SD card to transfer this app so i can free some memory. The transference was successful however I checked the phone memory but it's still the same. Nothing happened. How is it possible ? I dont really understand the process of transferring an app to SD Card tbh. Did i just waste my money for the SD card?

You didn't waste the money on the card. It'll store pictures/music/etc. Not all apps can be moved, and when they do move, it's not the whole app that gets moved. Parts of them stay on the internal memory.

AND... when you get an update to an app, they usually move back to internal memory. The sd card is sort of a bandaid for space, but it's not really meant to be used for apps. Besides, 1.8gb internal free is still a good chunk of free space, especially if you move your music from internal to sd card.
