Why is the the lowest volume setting for music too loud?

the lowest volume setting for music is too loud

phone running 5.0.2
When listening to music even the lowest volume setting using the side button is too loud over headphones. Is there a way to adjust volume lower?

since posting this I see other people have this problem and there is even an app to provide finer volume control

Can you show us the link for that app?

I've noticed that the lowest volume setting on the Honor 5X is also note quite that low. It's presumably dependent on the firmware.

Hi, I have the same problem. I'm not using headphones, but playing little games using just the phone speaker. The lowest volume setting is too loud when I don't want to disturb other people.
My phone is Sony Xperia XA, bought it just this week. The Fine Volume Control app from Play Store doesn't work with the physical volume buttons on the phone.
